The Southeastern Healthcare Alliance, Inc (SHCA) is a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) whose membership includes over 125 providers and two hospitals — Union General Hospital in Blairsville, GA; and Chatuge Regional Hospital in Hiawassee, GA.
The SHCA PHO is located in the scenic North Georgia mountains and its service area is comprised of Habersham, Banks, Dawson, Fannin, Gilmer, Lumpkin, White, Union, and Towns counties. The organization was formed in 1996 for the purpose of providing healthcare services of the highest standards to the purchasers of healthcare services in our geographical area(s) through an organized delivery system of providers.
Given this mission, the SHCA offers over 20 managed care contracts to its provider members. The SHCA is structured as a membership corporation under Georgia law.
